Dr. McDreamy -- posted by Sarah Grace

One of my goats, Liberty, has dramatically lost weight over the past two weeks, and we haven't a clue why. This morning my dad and I took her to the vet to see what the matter might be. After looking her over, he said the problem could be one of two things. One, she has some sort of bizarre parasite that our routine testing doesn't pick up, or two, some form of cancer. They sent off a fecal sample and some blood-work to get a diagnosis. This goat is very close to me, more so than any animal I've ever had, so I'm praying fervently that the Lord reverses whatever is the problem.

I adore our vet, Dr. Tim. He has such a perfect bedside manner. He doesn't babble in medical speak such that we have to stop and ask him to explain it in layman's terms (so annoying), and he gives an upfront and honest opinion, while at the same time being very tender and understanding to our feelings. It doesn't hurt either that he looks like a cross between Armand Assante and George Clooney. *swoon* I can't help but get all fluttery inside when I'm on my way to see him. Nothing untoward there, as he's married with children... not to mention old enough to be my father! Of course, since I only see him when there's a crisis with my animals, he usually sees me with either no makeup, filthy clothes, or swollen eyes and tear-stained cheeks. Thank God he's married.
